When I try to open a .wmv file online, it opens as text instead of opening the player. This is new since I installed XP SP2 yesterday. Is that a known glitch, or is it somthing else altogether? Bobstar

as SP2 is only at RC1 it may well be an issue that will be resolved with a later RC or the final release.

    Uninstalled

Well, I uninstalled SP 2, and guess what, things are much better now. My connection is fast again, I can view .wmv files, and the machine seems to be well-oiled again. You don't know what you've got till its gone.

You could right click on the .wmv file, and save it to your drive. Then play it.
