won`t boot...black screen

was working on computer when the screen froze...after a few minutes I shut it down...now on restart it won`t load past the windows xp ( windows xp sp2) screen it just goes to a black screen I can get in to safe mode so I tried system restore...tried loading last working configuration...ran anti virus/spyware tools and got nothing....now what should I look for?Thanks

 

It is probably a bad video driver. Uninstall the driver in safe mode, reboot and reload the driver in normal mode. You may want to first boot in safe mode w/ networking so you can download the newest driver available for your video adapter.

Thanks for the help...found the problem seems my video card was some how my video card got part way unpluged...repluged,reboot.fixed...thanks again
