Won't connect to wireless when reboot

I have a small problem with the wife’s laptop. Win XP. After booting up it won’t connect to the wireless internet. But if I go to Wireless Network Connection Properties under Wireless Networks tab & click (Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings) & it connects with no problems. but when I restart or turn the laptop back on again it doesn’t connect & the (Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings) tab doesn’t stay selected. I have to reselect it every time after startup. Any suggestion on how to keep the (Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings) tab selected after startup. :confused Thank for any help

 

Did another wireless connection utility come with the laptop? (Ex. IntelPro)
If so, go to Add/Remove Programs and delete. See if that clears it up.

 

There is one program called IP operator (intel(R)PRO/Wireless) for LG. It is running in the Notification. I will uninstall it & let you know how things went. Thanks

(I imagine the dog house get's mighty cold up North, so staying out of it is Priority #1.)

 

Actually we just gave our dog house away because of the passing of our 2 old dogs. It was a great house, 4x8 fully insulated, 2 rooms 3x4 & 5x4 with 2 caged 100 watt light bulbs. So thinking of the future I insulate my garage this summer just in case for some reason my mouth shot something out before thinking about it first. Thank god for wireless N. :-D
