With new XP Computer with Word 2002 [Works Suite 2005] and Outlook Express 6.0 with all Microsoft updates installed.

I was able to send an Email directly out from with the Word 2000 by using the active Icons on the toolbar

Now with Word 2002 I find when I try to send an Email the Email Icons are all grey [inactive]

Is there a plug-in or additional programming for Word 2003 to enable the Email Icons to become active

    Comments please

I'd guess you had MS Outlook installed back when you had Word 2000.

    Email functionality requires MS Outlook.

Word, in itself, has no email capabilities past that of an editor.

    Hi Adrynalyne,

    Thanks for your reply!

With my old Computer with Windows Me [and also the Laptop I have still with "ME" and Word 2000] the Outlook Express 6.0 Eamil programming is/was/still available and functional to use with word 2000.

I feel there must be a plugin available for Word 2002?

    Many thanks

As Adrynalyne stated maybeok, there is no plug in available. Only way to get email to work is to have Outlook installed, due to Word uses Outlook as a part of the Suite.
