    Hello,

My place of business has just purchased 4 new Canon ImageRunner Advance 8095 and it had fallen to me to ensure that they are working optimally. Unfortunately we are still running Windows XP 32bit and Office 97 suite and this cannot be avoided.

Which brings me to the problem. After installing the correct, up to date drivers for the printers, Word crashes every time I try and print through the Print window (Ctrl-P or File>Print). The rest of the office 97 suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) does not crash in this manner nor does any other application.

To make matters even more complicated, I can access the printing options through "Printers and Faxes" and I do not encounter any problems. I can also print from word using the print button one of the toolbars.

Does anyone know why this happens, or more importantly, how can I fix it? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I can provide any additional info anyone needs to solve this problem!

    Thank you!
    -SB

    Welcome to the MG forums.

Do you have any details on the crash, e.g. from the Event Logs? That may help determine what exactly is responsible for the crash.

What I would try in your situation is to try installing older versions of the printer drivers; see this page for some older driver downloads (but no older than 2011).
