Word and PP opening in Safe mode

    Hello--
    Rather than paying a high price to convert my trial Office version to something more permanent, i chose to buy office online for my mini-notebook at a lower price. It has been difficult from the beginning, but we finally got the Office programs to load online. Excel opens perfectly, but Word and Powerpoint cause the screen to go dark and then open in Safe mode. I ran diagnostics--there's something wrong in the Setup menu and also, somehow i am not percieved as the system administrator.

    Need help please!

    Hi Kathy

    What Windows version are you using and where did you download the online version of Office from?

    is the download a setup.exe type file and if so I woul dbe inclined to uninstall Office and run Ccleaner to remove temps and registry settings then re-install Office again but in the Admin account.

    What Security software do you have installed as some have Office scanners for the docs included and these can cause issues with Office applications at times, so disable your Anti-Virus software to test.
