Okay Masters of the Keyboards and Titan’s of Word; yours truly agreed to do up some tags for my Son’s Annual Mess Dinner and I am having a problem.rolleyes

Downloaded a Word Template that had the basic background and size I wanted, and I filled in the rest on one tag, there are ten tags to a sheet. This took some time, now how do I duplicate this one tag with image and text to the other blank tags, yea I figure out how to blank the rest.

Help I worked on this for three hours last night, and could not find out how to do it, Copy & Paste does not work it leaves the image and text behind.:cry

Just remember that I am much much “Older” than Word and have “OLDzimers”

If I understand right you want to PRINT more copies of this? All i did was save your image to my desktop (right clicked and copy then pasteed on the desktop) and then loaded it into Paint.Net, cropped it, renamed it, and saved it back to desktop (just to find it easy). You should be able to print it from Paint.Net

Thanks for the reply musksnipe, but my problem is that the Word "Template" came with Ten Tags I changed one and would like the rest on the sheet to be the same so that when I print the sheet I get Ten Identical Tags, and Copy and Paste does not work:mad :mad

    Thanks for the input though

don't you have an option when you go to print ....in the setup for the sheet/template to print all the same? Or something like that?

Forgot I unistalled Word and added Word Perfect 11:heli, but if your intention is to print a sheet with numerous tags, does it have to be done with Word? Trying to help you go around the problem with Word instead of through it:guns

Tried that Tim, but even though you ask the printed to print nine copies of the image per page its a no go.

Thanks though, I thought it was a gooden

would something like this work for you? i don't know what size you want the tags, but they can be made to whatever....If this is about what you need, i can walk you through:p My original is on a 8 1/2 x 11 inch work area and the tags are about 1 1/2 x 2.6 in., i didn't print but it should come out right

Yea thats about right musksnipe, but for a 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet I would like to have no more than eight Tags per page size making them aprox 2 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches long if possible........ten was the closest size I found for word.

And Hey Bro Thanks for your time I really appreciate it:clap

What the heck...here is another sample. the most i could get was 6 on a page w/ the tags the size you wanted but the printed sheet is not real clear..it may be from changing the size too much.....slightly smaller may be better;)

Yea a little smaller will work I tried printing your attachment, but due to the denigration of the file size we can post the tags were barely readable couldn't even see the printed message........But if you walk me through I can possibly clean up the image

ok Bc ...do you have Paint.Net loaded? If not here is the link.. http://www.majorgeeks.com/Paint.NET_d4548.html Install and open
1.I put your image on my desktop...it is easier to work it from there..to do this right click on image and pick copy, go to the desktop and paste it towards the top.... you might want to minimize the paint.net first
    2. re-open Paint ..grab the title bar and pull it down til you can see your image icon, click and drag the image to the work area...the program will ask what do ...click open
    3. go to image in menu, then pick resize...under print size set the height and width you want for the tag size
    4. go to tools, pick rectangle select and capture the whole image..go from outside the top corrner to outside opposite bottom and it will grab full image..got to edit and choose copy
5 go to file choose new and set work area to 8 1/2 x 11, then edit and paste
    6. now keep going to edit and paste to put multiple images on work area. they will appear over the first one...just click and drag to where you want them.... then go to file and print
YOU ARE DONE!!!! :D I will be gone for a little while so let me know how it turns out;)

:wine PS...first time you open Paint.NET there will be several windows open in work ares, close all except tools....you may want to play with the adjustments to to clarify your image before duplicating it or I guess you could do it before you print.. anything that doesn't look right to you just undo in the edit section. I suggest auto adjust and contrast and brightness.

I won't say it work like a dream, cause it took a fair amount of fiddling, as they were double sided tags but Paint.net is a great find Thanks again musksnipe. It was certainly easier than :banghead with Word:celebrate :celebrate :celebrate
