word

    M.S. Office Home and Student 2010, Win 7x64
    I cannot "saveto" desktop. I performed a system restore.
    I get the message attaced.
    How do I rectify this?

    Happens only when saving from Word?

    As a workaround, just save it to My Documents, then cut/paste to the Desktop when the document is closed.

    I prefer to use it as it should be without a work around. Until I resolved it, that it what I was forced to do.
    Yes Office seems to have that problem exclusively and I also right clicked desktop and only got folder as an option; no briefcase word doc etc.
    I perfomed a recovery with Acronis and am up and running.
