Word2002 Encryption

In WorksSuite2005, Word 2002 can encrypt files so that a password opens them. A little man says to 1) Open the file 2) On Tools Menu, Click Options and then Click Security. No Options selection appears, so I can't click Security. Any suggestions? Janette

 

When first installed Word shows a reduced set of menu options. If you wait and hover the pointer the missing menu options will appear eventually. Also the is a double arrow at the bottom of the menu that you can click to make the missing menu items reappear.

1. Click on the 'Tools' menu then the 'Customize' option (if it isn't there wait and it will appear)

2. Make sure that the 'Always show full menus' option is selected.

3. Click OK.
