Words dont come up till I am done typing

After visiting a few sites that I normally dont visit. My computer is acting strange. On a few sites when I go to type a messege the words dont show up untill I am done typing and it takes a long time for the cursor to catch up. This is a total pain in the butt. Besides completely reloading all my software, is there anything I can do to fix this. Everything else is fine its just on some sites. I know there is a problem.

 

also websites seem slow to move on the page. I have windows ME on a Hewlett packard computer that I got new 3 years ago

Well first. ME Sucks. Second have you done a virus scan? Spy-ware scan? Check under processes to see if any program is hogging all your cpu.

Yikes! That's not a lot of memory, your machine would be much happier with more RAM.
