I am wondering just how ext. hard drives work. My computer crashed the hard drive is fine so I am going to use it for my ext. drive so I can retrieve my files, favs, email etc.....

How do I do the transfers?

I would also like to know if I can import from the ext outlook express to older outlook version? If not can I get outlook express free or do I need to go to microsoft and pay for it? Are there other compatible email programs which may be better?

Copying the data from the external drive is simple; either drag-n-drop, or copy-n-paste, or use a util like Unstoppable Copier (which is a great program!). If you copy the data with Windows and an error is encountered, the copy will stop and anything moved before the error won't be copied either. Using UC, it continues copying even if an error is encountered.

    This thing is pretty cool.

How do I transfer my email accounts?

    Outlook express to outlook?

I am sure I will have tons of other questions but this is most important at the moment

    Thanks everyone
