Worling Offline

Hello, I'm on win xp sp2,when I’m writing or replying to an email and it takes me awhile my comp keeps going offline, doesnt happen when I’m surfing, reading gaming, just email.
When I check the tools its off line as you’d expect, so I reconnect and of I go again, not great problem I suppose but it puts my email into the drafts which I have to get out ,move finish and send, can I stop this from happening and why is it happening?

 

What browser do you use, and what email software/webmail system?

internet options
connections
settings
advanced

if checked - uncheck 'disconnect if idle for'

 

More likely, try tools options, connections, uncheck hang up after sending and recieving.

 

Im just guessing youre using internet explorer and outlook express (defaults for xp)

coleman guys instructions are for outlook express !

check both settings

 

hi there,tried these two methods,im outlook express winxp sp2,thought it had worked but it hasnt,email still disconnecting after 5-10- mins although my browser is still open and search is available too, sometimes the work offline box ticks itsself,dont know whats going on there
