Worm Planted in Fake Microsoft Security Update

hrlow2, thats the hardest thing to get across to many users that are not part of a community like Majorgeeks, they are blissfully unaware of the dangers of the internet and are a bit click happy as well as torrent happy, sadly.

We can as we all do here keep on plugging away in any security related thread that its not just the AV etc thats the main block to malware but the user.

I had this conversation with security experts and they also say its a loosing battle, can advertise a hell of alot and spend $$$ on this but its just not cost effective in the end as the message doesnt sink in for many.

I do believe that many who stick around on MGs for longer than a month do get to see the bigger picture on internet and PC security that you/we all advocate.

 

I know its a head hit wall type of thing hrlow, in that folk dont think this stuff is serious, until they start loosing real $$££ out of their bank accounts, then its help me now... like right now, *bite tounge and think told you so*

Indeed all you can do is give advice if they dont heed it then great repeat business is good for your bank balance.
