worm/tibick/svcnet.exe..can't use scanners

Ok, i am NOT computer saavy at all. I saw another thread relating to this EXACT problem, however i didn't understand it....

Upon trying to look up a virus definition for a friend, i discovered that my browser shut it self off everytime i typed in the word "Virus"...or if i clicked on a link with the word virus in it, or if i tried to go to a webpage related to virus scanners. I use AVG free scanner so i ran a scan, found OVER 400 infected files. I had JUSt run a scan not even 2 days earlier with NO viruses found....all those files were deleted...name of the infection was WORM/Tibick.E

Thinking my problems were solved i rebooted and attemped to continue looking up a virus definition. Same problem...Very frustrating since I cannot even go anywhere to GET help..somehow i managed to stumble into this forum. I did find SVCNET.exe and deleted it....AVG is no longer picking anything up...but im still having the same problems...also found and deleted msview.... I can open task manager but I can't view anything in processes...its just greyed out. I can't bring up the registry to look for reg files either...I tried to download a few things ..some that i saw under the READ FIRST section in here...no help....I had a friend download and send me security task manager since i couldnt download it...wouldn't open. Now i have no c lue what to do.....ive enabled all hidden folders to be seen...i found one that looked weird...SVCXNW32.exe....can't delete cuz its in use. Any help would be appreciated but im sad to say I'm not into the computer lingo so I might be a little slow to understand.

 

Ok I will try and help you out the best I can as far as to what I am knowledgeable with but once you get to the portion of needing someone to read an HJT (Hijackthis) log one of the other more experienced users will need to read that to help you out.
You need to try and complete each and every step in the Read Me First sticky thread you need to make notes of what you can and can't complete and what your computer won't let you download and post this information back here after you have tried to complete all steps.
You also need to make sure that your computer is up to date go to Windows Update and download the latest updates for your computer (if you can not do this post back here to let us know).
We also need to know what OS (operating system) you have such as Windows98, WindowsME, WindowsXP etc..
Try to complete the Read Me First from start to finish and then post back here what the results were and then we will go from there.
