Worms World Party Prob...

I found an old game yesteday and it's Worms World Party...
I remember that this game was quite good... so I installed it to play it...

but I have a problem with that game...
after I click on start game... (there's a loading [Cake explodes])
And after the loading the game just shuts down and it throws me back to Desktop...

Can anyone help me... I've been 2 hours in internet searching for answers...
but none found... I even downloaded the SP1 from official site, but still not good... Plz help me!!

Ahhhhh - Worms World Party ! I won a copy of that game from Team 17 for writing some story. I had forgotten all about entering and then one day a box shows up on my door. In was a copy of the game, a Worms t-shirt, and a million stickers. I forgot what I wrote and asked them for a copy of the story. They stated it would be on the website as the winning entry. I never did find it. Oh well - now on to helping you . . .

I remember that game always being video card/driver sensitive. Try tweaking your video settings in Windows. Check your clock speed on your card, enable vsync, desktop resolution, etc. in your desktop settings.

The instructions are not detailed enough.
Can anyone help or give detailed instructions on how to fix this.
If u can't can u post a way how u fixed it.

How do u change the video settings and the vsync setting?
What settings do u change?

For changing vsync in Worms itself just go to "Options." It should be buried in their somewhere. You want to keep vsync on. You may also want to check you video card control panel in Windows to make sure it is temporarily turned off or set it so that it is set by program.

 

Will changing vsync make worms world party work?
i disabled vsync in my graphic card(asynchronous flip) still don't work though.
Also when i go to the options in worms the only graphic related options i see is the resolution(not related to vsync).
In another box that u click to get game options is the retreat time and sudden death time options.
Any ideas?

 

how old is the game? pre-windows xp? you might want to set it up for windows 98 compatiblity mode

 

the disc is very very new.
As for the compatiblity i set the exercutable* to windows 98 compatiblity mode and that don't fix it.

I got xp pro.

soz for double posting but,

This fixed it for me
The cd was a bit buggered so when it went into the game the game could not read a file so the game cashed.:cry
Solution:
Make sure the cd is in perfect condition(minor scatches may cause this)
Make sure the Cd-rom is not fautly(test getting another disk by borrowing the game from a video store, friend or buying the game and getting a refund).

If your using a virtual drive make sure the files are all there and all are not Corrupted.So test by getting another image of worms world party.
To get a virtual drive use a progam such as "ISO Recorder" to make an image of the disk u have.
