    Hello,

Wouldn't it be nice to view what is actually happening during boot up? Anyone have a technique or program that will let me see what the computer is doing during boot up?

It would be nice to watch what the computer is doing durring long pauses of seeming inactivity.

    Computer Specs:
    400+mz cpu
    256 mb ram
    Compaq motherboard
    win982e
    2 hard drives
    one cd rom
    one cd rom burner

    Thanx
    Will

DOS was the king you can see what it was doing but those days are long gone.....

I believe there is a verbose method in xp pro, and 2k3, but, unsure about 98, except for the generic, hitting the tab key (esc?), during the 98 bootup screen..

I know it isn't excatly like the *nix verbose method. :(
