Would love to get rid of popup relating to Yahoo Messenger, which I do not use

I recently uninstalled Yahoo Messenger, because I was tired of closing down the login windows that automatically opened on my screen whenever I started up. I never use it and don't need it. But since I uninstalled, I now get a message on startup that reads "CoCreate instance for the my yahoo DLL has failed" (or words to that effect). I click OK and it vanishes. Is there anything I can do to stop it appearing at all?

If you have CCleaner installed you could use the Tools menu, select Startup button and from the list of start up items find the one for Yahoo and highlight it and push the Delete Entry button.

Or you could use Msconfig but it won't delete the entry only deactivate it. On XP:
Start>Run>type msconfig in the box and OK. On the Startup tab find Yahoo entry and uncheck the box. After reboot you will get a notification that you are using selective startup. Check the box "Don't notify me again".
