Would my computer run better if i installed vista on one hard drive and say played crysis on another hard drive?

Crysis would load levels faster, yes, unless you have (P)ATA drives that are on the same channel.

no, it shouldn't affect FPS. the only way it really would is if you don't have enough RAM and you have a lot of pagefile swapping going on. in that case, putting crysis on a separate physical drive from the page file would speed things up SLIGHTLY, but you probably wouldn't be running crysis on a system that would apply to anyway.

Think as mentioned the speed increase would be very very small and not really noticable at all, while loading levels maybe marginally quicker, the game itself wouldnt be as its not the HDD thats the issue but CPU and GPU that handle the physics of the game, so plenty of ram, good GPU and CPU and if possible run Crysis in 64bit Windows so long as you have 2GB ram or more as 64bit Windows has a much better memory addressing routine to 32bit.

What are your PC specs BTW?

well im makin one computer from scratch and i will have
Intel DP45SG Motherboard
2.66 quad core cpu (intel)
8 gigs of intel DDr3 ram (1333 Mhz)
1.5 TB of mem
two (crossfire) XFX Radeon HD 4870 XXX Edition Video Card - 1024MB GDDR5, PCI Express 2.0 x16, CrossFireX Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV (OMFG)
and an 850 WATT power sup
im trying to play crysis on at least a 40" HD TV
