Would you recommend I buy this Barebone kit?

I'm curious. I know NOTHING about computers, but a friend of mine told me this is a good deal, and i might be able to play some games on it (half-life 2 mods)

Anyone help me out? Let me know if this is a good deal? Or should i just buy locally?

 

The power supply seems a bit on the small side, but within limits if you keep it basic. I figured in a SATA hard drive, DVD burner drive and one 80mm case fan for cooling in addition to your barebones kit (it assumes you use a stock CPU cooler) and got 249 watts at peak usage. If you plan on a high capacity CPU cooler, add on video card, or more PCI cards and drives, this PSU may be too small. I think it should be just about fine if you are careful with the number of addons you include, and if you are fully aware that you will have to purchase and install extra components to make the system work.

Also, make sure you buy some thermal paste!
