WOW: Criminally deficient? at allowing acces to account closure??

    Is it just me? Are servers down....one sec let me check my toons.....no was in within seconds to make my toon dance, fart, spit and or piss but try and access the accounts management component of my characters and I keep generating "cannot display" for the 6th time!!

    Most ironically after trying for more than 1 hour as I spend the 5 mins to type this "I Have f.....ing acccesss".......ouch I thought I did then the old IE cannot display page!

    Every time I try and go into Account Management (I Have Direct Debit by the way) to cancel the next month (and from then on till something significantly changes!) I get "the cold shoulder".

    Is it just me? Or is it a sincere hardware issue!

    Damn I loved this game for greater than 18 months and when trying to finally.....shakkky.....wobbbly.....headspins...... break this profound addiction I feeel Im getting stonewalled.


    At least by posting this thread I have created a documented attempt to try and rid myself of a corporation.....it has been encapsulated with time and date and may provide legal basis. F... them for crappy exit support!!
    Anyone else got a +/_ minus comment please!

    Ouch Im an Aussie.....probably cost like 2-3$US a min and get put on hold for 20mins to finally listen to some impaired English speaking Indian saying it is all my fault and he doesn't quite understand what I mean or want!!

    Nah, I think they're tech is probably fairly good. I think they're all fluent English-speakers, but I might be wrong. Try their site again later, they could have just released a patch.

    Finally got through and canceled my account but on the final page it seems to go through this endless loop without finally saying your account has been finalized. Way to go WoW you really soured my experience, after enjoying it for 18 months, and I will think long and hard before ever consuming your product again.

    1. 800-numbers only work within the US.
    2. Support staff in India is fluent in English. Their accent is just very different.
    3. Skype lets you make international phonecalls at local rates. I call my family in Sweden all the time.

    BE, from a certain point of view, they may have done you a favor. You seem very upset and frustrated with the WOW service right now... and as a result, you may be more motivated to stay away. ;)

    Anyways, good job on breaking the addiction. :)
