WoW - fps problem on a good computer

These are my computer's specs:

3.0 GHz Intel Processor
x1950 ATI graphics card (updated drivers)
1.5GB RAM

Basically, I think those computer specs aren't that and should be able to run this game, World of Warcraft on high settings with some addons ~40MB worth at more than 8 fps in instances during fights. However, I get those fps when I run it on low settings as well.

The processor might not be so good, but this is just ridiculous. I also sometimes can't log in, as the screen freezes when I disconnect and log in during a raid.


I've done just about everything I know; reformatted my computer, virus scans, etc. tried full screen/ windowed mode and it's all the same.

I honestly don't know what else to do anymore except for just disabling all addons but I don't want that to be an option as they enhance the gameplay http://boards.worldofraids.com/images/smileys/sad.gif.

 

hmm , im thinking you should be getting a better fps than 8, since if i remember the reccomended processor speed was 1.5ghz (i think) and u have enough ram and a video card, i have a core 2 duo (i know its a difference kinda) with a geforce 7900 gs ko , and at max high settings on wow i was getting a sold 60 fps all around, even in outlands, and now im using onboard graphics and i still get around 8-30 fps, thats on lowest settings tho , with addons, so im not sure why youre getting 8 fps in instance fights, it should be higher.

id reccomend messing around with the wow settings to see if you can make a nice combination or something , although you should be doing good on max settings imo, but remember also to make sure you have enough power supply for the video card otherwise you might blow your card lol

 

Yeah, what are the specs on the PSU? its probably underpowered if your performance is this bad
