WOW issues with lag

hey man its been a while scince you post haha but i was wondering if u know any fixes i have the exact same problem on the current patch, any ideas?

1) run the WoW repair utility
2) beg, borrow, steal another computer and see if WoW runs the same on your connection
3) Benchmark your system with 3Dmark and see if it is close to where it should be

That should tell you what path to follow, either your computer or your connection.

 

Run Game booster prior to opening WoW.

After you enter WoW disable out of date add-ons. Also check your video settings and reduce video quality where necessary as higher render and spell quality produces more lag.

Also make sure you are not running other things, like the internet, while playing as WoW seems to choke. As an added me to you bonus, try to avoid logging out in the city of Dalaran, as this has been known to cause lag so severe the game will sit at the load screen for several minutes then log you off.

 

Also, look into disabling add-ons. Also, if you have more than 2 cores, you can modify the config.wtf file to use more cores. For myself, wow is using 7 of my 8 "cores".
