Just a couple of basic questions to start:

    1. How big is your virtual memory or page file? To check, right-click on "My Computer" and choose properties. Then choose "Advanced System Settings" and authenticate if necessary. Then make sure the "advanced" tab is selected at the top and click on the "settings" button at the top of the window in the "performance" box. Then click on the "advanced" tab in the new window, and click the "change" button under "virtual memory". Then at the bottom of that window there should be a "currently allocated:" value. This is the value we need.

    2. What happens if you leave the programs open overnight (if possible) and then close them and immediately re-open them?

    3. Please post either computer make and model or motherboard make, model and revision (revision should be stamped on the board if now known)

    4. Please post these RAM details: type (DDR/DDR2/DDR3 etc), speed (PC5200/4300 etc), number of modules, size of each module, make of each model if possible, and operating mode (EEC or non-EEC).

Sorry if this is a lot of info, but it is best to get the basics down first.

my virtal ram size is about 8gb

I usually leave steam msn xfire and windows live open as well as some other small stuff

It's my build and the mobo is a Asus P5Q-E

    4 X G.Skill DDR2-800 2 GB so 8 GB total ram
