    Hi guys

ok...I don't know how to put this across...

I have just installed Windows 7 Home Premium on a client's LG laptop. After finishing updating the drivers I tried connecting to my wireless network, but the system tells me I have entered the wrong password.

So I tried connecting on my own NEC netbook, it was fine. I went back into my router settings, the password was correct.

But the system just tells me that I entered the wrong password.

So what I am doing now is I plugged in a USB wireless adapter, and I have successfully connected! While using the laptop's built in wireless adapter tells me I have entered the wrong password.

So...anyone have any idea whats happening?

I don't know about windows 7, but on a windows XP install disk there is a nifty tool in \Support\Tools folder. The setup.exe found there, adds the netdiag command to the windows command prompt. netdiag gives very detailed output, so it may be able to tell you what's going on. Here are available commands (if you decide to try it, and it works on Win 7):
    Netdiag lists verbose network stats
Netdiag /q lists only failed tests
Netdiag /v lists even more verbose network stats
Netdiag /debug even more verbose (no kidding, this outputs a LOT)
