wtf is this sound help quick

hey i have an amd athlon 2200 xp 2 sticks of 256 asus mother board ati radeon 9600 xt 128 excalibur..

well anyways i just tried hooking up a mexus mult function panel which allows me too look at temps and speeds of my fan well anyways when it was all done and i started up it worked fine and then my computer when it was loading it up it got a regular beep then it got a buzzzing beep and it just kinda froze.
then i took that out and put everything back to normal and i got the reg beep but then it got that buzzing noise and it did the exact same thing .. its driving me nuts wow

please help

what is that?

 

cmos checksum error means that the bios has changed in such a way that the bios can't be used without repairing. luckily, if you got that far, it can be repaired. try this on for size:

re-attach everything on the motherboard. you may have knocked something off when you installed the nexus thingy

if that doesn't work,
open up your case and cut power from your power supply so there is no power going into your motherboard.
then take out the coin cell battery on your motherboard. this shoudl cut all power to the bios. leave the battery out for a minute, and put it back in and plug all power cables back in.
turn un computer again.

 

how do u get the coin cell battery out any special ways?? thanks

 

there's usually a really small metal tab thing keeping it in place. you can use your fingernail to pull that tab away and the battery should pop right out.
