www.google.com -- HELP!!

I have a very weird problem. I have an internet connection...and it looks like its working fine ...except for 1 thing ---- I can't access anything that is tied to google.com.. []

What a pain..

No orkut---gmail--google---I would die--

Help me guys...

 

It could be that your browser (or firewall) security settings somehow got set to block all things Google....
Check your settings; in IE add Google and GMail to the list of trusted sites and make sure they're not listed in the blocked sites....

 

Try a system restore to before the problem started.

Checked the 'Hosts' file. It looks fine with just one entry that is the local ID address--

Does not seem to be an issue with any firewall..or software explicitly blocking ....

I saw that 'scvhost.exe' many instances running -- well some processes were faking and running as 'scvhost.exe'...terminated them...Its working fine now..

I have the exact same problem, but don't quite understand how you fixed it.

 

You should be on a look out. If you reboot and google stops working it may be malware related.

 

Hey...Right!

I rebooted my machine and those services started again ...

Fixed it .. could find out what was triggering those fake svchost.exe's ...

Everything fine now .. Rebooted to test .. things fine now
