www.spw5.com annoying me!

    I keep getting these pop up windows from "Spyware Advisory", it looks like a messanger popup, supposedly alerting me of spyware on my pc and telling me to go to www.spw5.com followed by a popup telling me to go to www.updatenow.org to get their anti-spyware software. It seems the only thing on my pc is this stupid pop up window that comes up fifty times an hour.. I can't get rid of it, I don't think its actually on my pc... how can I block these messages, does anyone know?

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

    I just went into my XP group policies and disabled windows messanger. I think that worked.

    You should considered doing all the spyware checks anyway.
