thank Dromano i have managed to load 2 of the photos, the disc is copyright protected i have found it by trial and error what i have done is leave a tab open(MGs) then loaded the cd and got in that way.

the problem was when i loaded the cd alone it took the whole screen and applied its own toolbar that lets you do anything you like with the photo's except download.

i will try and get back in now thanks for the help

Can't you just do a screen capture by pressing the Print Screen / SysRq key, paste it into Paint, and save as a jpeg file ?

I have seen similar in work when sent medical images, the images are linked to a type of image projector software that the machine uses, and tend to have proprietory formatting of the images... not saying this will work but its worth a try,

Is to get hold of http://www.majorgeeks.com/XnView__d4974.html ( as it reads 179 different image formats and some are medical formats like Dicom ) and try and open the images off the CD for that software, then it will allow you to save, but the above way of Tarquin's will be your best option, dont think the quality will be as the originals but will be close.
