I don't know if this is the right forum or not. I have just bought and installed a copy of XP x64. After installing it, it informs me I have to register and activate it. Not a problem right? Wrong. I only have a dial up connection and the only modem I have that it even recognizes is a US Robotics Faxmodem, using PCI. Unfortunately, it does not seem to support x64 drivers. Is there a way around this, perhaps with forceware?

I never intended to use it as an internet computer, and now I'm becoming very unexcited. I can't use it for my purpose of gaming, and continue to get 'You have 30 days to activate Windows.' All the while, I'm locked out by Microsoft's insecurity measures. Is there something I can do?

yes there is :) click on activate now and insteadof activating it on line choose to activate over phone and a line of numbers will appear as well as a phone number to call to activate :)

Thanks. Help and Support acts like the modem is going to do it for me. Worked out perfectly.
