X64 Sound cards

    Ive just installed Vista Ultimate x64 and im left with no sound from the pc. so ive got to buy a new sound card, can anyone say what x64 compatable cards there are, which ones are really good. im into music production so i want a clear sound coming out my pc. :)

    Find "pc wizard" here or at google, copy & paste your specs. If your mobo uses a common sound chipset, it can be downloaded from the manufacturer's site. i.e. Realtek.

    Agree don't just go and buy a sound card if you haven't resolved "why" it isn't working. Right click "My Computer" >>>>Properties>>>>Hardware>>>>Device Manager, is there any red X or yellow !. Also get your MS updates!

    Guys i got it working late last night. it was the realtek driver i couldnt find. it said Audio Output Device is not installed. as it turns out the one i needed was the 1st one i saw but didnt get it because i thought it wouldnt be it :eek: i found the 32 and 64 versions there but thanks for ur help :)
