Xbox game recommendations?

Just picked up an xbox. I have Colin Mcrae 4.0. Need a game that would be fun to play with the wife. We used to have a blast years ago with Donkey Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc.

Also looking for a cool dirtbike/offroad truck game and something fantasy. Saw an ad for Fable to other day. It looked pretty good.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have no idea what games to get.

 

First of all, if you have an xbox, you better damn well get Halo lol. I have yet to meet someone that has an xbox without halo. Fable is supposed to be really good i heard. If your into racing I would get Project Gotham Racing 2, thats a great game. Colin Mcrae is the only offroad racing game I can think of thats relatively good.

Halo is a must have, and fable is susposed to awesome! You can get people drunk. lol

PGR2 is a great game also. My brother loves it!

First of all, get Halo. And a good motorcycle game would be MX Unleashed.

 

Yes, get halo and on November 9th get Halo 2. Fable is a good game but pretty short so I've heard. PGR 2 is really good. Motorcycle games my favorites are Mx unleashed and ATV: Quad Power Racing. You said that you had fun with sonic so you could get the Sonic Heroes game. Ninja Gaiden is a must in my book as well.

Fable is one of the best games I have played recently... if you are in to RPGs definatly get it... It doesn't, or hasn't yet got frustrating to play... and I sing its praises all the way...

 

the only games my wife likes are crash bandicoot, sonic, pacman and the like
but she does very well at Mortal Kombat kicking my @$$
I do not have Halo, but have heard many great things( tee hee. . .*sigh*)

-fighting games (SOUL CALIBUR, MORTAL KOMBAT, boxing games), adventure games, etc, etc (nothing too sophisticated)

• Soul Calibur 2
• Star Wars: KOTOR
• Halo 2 (on Nov.9)
• JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future
• Ninja Gaiden

Those should keep you busy for 1 year.

 

I've been playing Fable on and off for a week now and it's GREAT! I've also heard that it can be short if you stay on the main quests but it's quite open and you could spend a lot of time in the world.

Halo is an absolute must have! Great game and I'm really looking forward to Halo 2 in November (the first game I've ever reserved).

A BIG suprise addiction also has been SSX Tricky and SSX 3. Who would have guessed a snow boarding game would be so addictive.

A nice addition to the Xbox is Namco Museum. It's got classics like Pac-Man, Galaxian, Pole Position, the such. It's quite fun and you can get it in the bargain bin.

 

HALO & HALO2 is a must

if your into the older games like donkey kong, i suggest Midway classics 1 & 2 both have about 20+ oldschool 2player games on them also check out

It is hellisly short sticking to the main quests... definatly need to get out and about more with other quests...

I own a ps2. My friend had an x-box and halo, I bought my own x-box controler due to that game. I was considering getting an x-box despite the fact that the newer systems will likely begin coming in again sometime late next year. I even traded in a load of ps2 games hoping to make enough money off of them so that I could get an x-box (primarily for fable and the halos) but I got nowhere near enough to make the differance I'd needed for the x-box, so I ended up getting StarOcean (square onix rpg) so far it's very good; but I bet I'll end up picking up an x-box somewhere down the road for halo and fable (if they don't make the next x-box backword compatable)

 

For a driving game, I would recommend Burnout 3: Takedown. I'm renting it and it is awesome! The grapics are great and the sound is alright. One great part is the action. It's like a fast-paced Destruction Derby.
