Xboxab.com?

I don’t know a lot about router logs, but as a parent, I am familiar with teens and their tendency to be online a lot. My teenage son’s phone connects to xboxab.com every day, per our router logs, and only when he is alone in his room. When xboxab.com is accessed, it seems associated with images.taboola.com and api.taboola.com. I can’t find out anything about xboxab.com except that it is a domain name owned by Microsoft. Our son is supposed to finish all homework before playing games, but that can be difficult to monitor. We don’t have an Xbox, and we’ve asked him if he has access to Xbox on his phone but he says he does not. What is xboxab.com? The log says:

Thank you very much for looking into it; seems like the same info I found... which seems like no one really knows for sure what xboxab.com is?? Some speculation about it back in 2014 when Microsoft registered it, but nothing definitive...

 

I would check http://www.xboxab.com/ everyday until the services are back online.

Could he be uploading and/or viewing videos?

On his phone check what apps are using how much data. That might give you an idea.
