Xerox Phaser 8560 poor printing using PCL5c

I have a xerox 8560 and trying to print photographs using the PCL5c driver so I can use colour profiling for the paper. The printing and graphics on the pages are smeared but if one prints 10 - 15 copies, 1 - 2 will be fine somewhere in the print run. This does NOT happen under postscript. I've downloaded the latest Xerox drivers and firmware but it has not solved the problem. I've tried removing drivers from the disk (windows XP) and going back to old version. I have updated the firmware. Have not tried clouting it on the side yet which used to work with old TVs.This has only started happening recently. Xerox support was less than helpful as they said PCL5C was not supported which did get my response as to why they released new drivers for it on a regular base.

    Any help would be appreciated.
