XIII (13) Can I play this game with a controller or not for PC?

I was in EB games the other day and saw the game XIII for PC was only $19.99. I was going to buy it but when I looked at the system requirements it stated that the Peripherals you NEED to play the game are the Keyboard and the Mouse. It never stated that a controller was compatible to play it. I hate using the keyboard and mouse to play games. I like using a controller. The guy behind the counter at EB games said he wan't sure if you could play the game with a controller or not.

So, again my question is - can I play this game with a controller or do I HAVE TO use the keyboard and mouse?
