XIII start up problems

    I have had this game for a while now and just recently reinstalled it but it wont work :(, the game installs ok and gets as far as the start up screen where it just freezez.
    I used to play this game on ME and it worked fine i now have xp home edition.

    My specs are....

    Windows XP (or higher) Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1700MHz
    512Mb Ram
