xmt???

whenever i boot up my computer, before the actual welcome screen, theres a screen (similar to the screen when windows xp scans hard drives) that says "xmt 2002 program not found - skipping autocheck" this screen lasts for about 1 or 2 seconds, and then it goes to the welcome screen and everything is fine.

can someone explain to me what this means? I alredy used ccleaner and cleaned everything...

the error can occur a)after uninstalling partition magic b)the xmnt2002 file is corrupted or c)you change the drive letter that pm is installed on or a partition has moved.
If a) or b) is true, reinstall Partition Magic. If it is c) then you must open the registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
In the right pane, double-click the following value: BootExecute
The Edit String dialog box appears.
Remove the line that references Xmnt2002.
For example, if the data value of BootExecute is:
autocheck xmnt2002 /bat="C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\PQ_BATCH.PQB" /win="C:\WINDOWS"
/dbg="C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\PQ_DEBUG.TXT" /ver=262144 /prd="PartitionMagic"
autocheck autochk *

then remove the first line so that the value looks like the following:
autocheck autochk *

Click OK.
Exit the Registry Editor.

If you have not edited the registry before, don't do anything yet. Post back and I will detail how you save a key you are going to work on so if anything goes wrong, you can put the old key back.
Reboot the computer.

thanks alot, i was wonderin if it wasnt some kind of partitioner that was causing the problem
