I just bought a new computer, and i was wondering, if and how i could put my old HD of 20GB to run as a 98 and HD of 40GB to run as XP.
Or just add the 20GB to the 40GB, how would i do this?

Make the 98 drive a slave (move the jumpers, all hard drives show where the jumpers need to be for master, slave and cable select) the 40 gig master and install XP on the 40 gig drive. Then, you will want to dual boot. It can be done by editing your boot.ini files, otherwise, we have boot utilities in our drives section. Of course, there should not be much need, everything you have should run fine on XP, but back in the day when XP was released, this was considered a good idea until you were sure all your software and hardware worked.

Hey Beermonkey!
I run a couple of dual boot pc's.
If you do Google " Dual boot PC" you'll get lots of info, most is regarding dual boot using one hard drive.

Just want to point out can dual boot with both OS's on one HDD and other for storage, or as one OS on each of your HDD's.
If you were to install both on one HDD you need to install 98 first and on the first partition, then XP on another partition.

Other things to consider extra partitions, and file system's, XP NTFS is best , 98 Fat32, 98 cant see NTFS

What should happen it i set the hdd of 20gb in the comp.
Doesnt it just read it like ram(no set-up)?
