xp admin pasword

yes I Know I'm a total loser when it comes to pc's .

I recently moved my pc to another house , ( came with a rather goodlooking redheaded chick :drool)
So I've managed to install a pasword on my Xp admin account , reason being to many kids fidling around with my pc .

I've also been having trouble with the language settings , the damn thing seems to flip from azerty to qwerty every five seconds .

trouble is , I cant get acces to my admin account . Nice he .

Since you guys helped me out last time , .......... would you please think of me again this time .

 

!st thing I do is click start> click control panel> double click->user accounts
then create other accounts for other people...
and make yourself administrator or whatever...
take it from there...:-D
make the kids account limited...

 

yes wel , I can only acces the pc through a limited account , so I cant create admin accounts now .

 

Is your admin account the administrator accnt? The one that only appears in safe mode? If by admin accnt you mean an account with administrator privledges you may still be able to access the hidden admin account by starting in safe mode. Hitting F8 after the flash screen and leaving the password blank.

OK, now I'm confused, but then the next question is...
If it's Your computer... and you're not the administrator, then who is the administrator?

 

I am the admin , I dont have the admin password . The limited accounts I can gain acces through belong to the kids .

 

So...you are the admin....it is passworded....but you don't know the password....yet you just installed a password on it....

How come?

 

I know what I typed in as password , the pc doesnt seem to agree that I know it . Like I said before , I'm no good with computers , I've tried loging on a few times but I just doesnt work .

 

Checked your caps lock is not on?

 

Just going back...did you try starting in safe mode to see if you were offered an Administrator account that you could access by leaving the password field blank?
