XP Administrator

    OK my computer started playing up a few days ago. I had the administrator rights on my login now when i login I am a guest! Their is no other user with administrator rights. Also my log in icon has gone, i have to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up the log in box and log in that way. I can either log in as user or my user name with the same password.
    The catch 22 thing is, I can't boot into safe-mode either and log on as administrator and do a restore.
    I am running XP home edition wish it was pro.
    Can anyone help me. I don't want to have to reinstall!
