How do I install the administrators password. There has been many times when I could have used access and ended up "Format C"

Not jumping to conclusions....if you have an admin account, you can change it via

    Start, run

    control userpasswords2

Or User accounts applet in control panel.

Past that, I'd question your motives...if you format, clean install, then you should know it? I'd bet over 90% of the XP machines out there have no admin password.

Kinda scary, if you ask me.

Wow...I would have never got that from the first post.

At any rate...those are the options at this point.

Maybe that I read the post wrong, but the poster was asking how to install the administrators password and not change it? This happens to a lot of people that don't install admin. passwords, and leaving the password field blank and pressing enter should work. :)
