xp antispy 3.96

this is not a big deal, but i am stumped anyway. i am trying out the xp antispy program. when i try to access the author's website (chris connell), the page is in german. i need the english translation. the only link that reads in english is the translation link. i am running firefox 2.0. i went into tools and i have en-us and en enabled. i even added en-uk. yes i have clicked on the flag that should show english. i installed xp antispy 3.94. i went to the author's website and updated to 3.96. what am i doing wrong?

Whenever I find myself in this situation, I will google the page I'm looking for, and use their translators. Has been a simple, effective method for me in the past.

Try the 'Translate This Page' link next to the top two results. That got the page translated for me.

 

thanks to lev and mada milty. i used the google link and it worked, but it was a literal translation and somewhat difficult to understand some parts. whenever i install programs i choose english, but i couldn't remember using that option, so i decided to go ahead and uninstall and reinstall, and make sure i had checked english. however, when i googled the home page there was a posting on a vulnerability of the program and a hack fix that had been applied (a plug in for joomla and an sql injection exploit). so i went ahead and reinstalled the most current version that i had downloaded from the author's website. there was no option for english installation. both times that i installed the program, the program was in english. but as with most open source programs the support is through the programs website and forums. anyway, problem solved, thanks again.

 

after my last post i went to the link you posted, and it was also the current version. i assumed that all the links would download the same version (ie the 3.94 version i downloaded from the author's site the first time i used it). i want to thank you for all the hard work you guys must do to keep this website up and running so smoothly. i have been using major geeks for about 5 years now, and everytime i've had problems i go to major geeks forums first.
