XP Backup

    I have an HP Pavillion that came preloaded with XP Home. The problem is that the HP version has no backup feature. Apparently, XP that you buy at the store comes with a backup function but thta has been stripped out by HP. Lo, and behold, HP sells an aftermarket package for backup. Leaves no doubt as to why the backup function was stripped out.:rolleyes:

    I have created the recovery disks for the PC so now all I need is to backup my data files to a CD so I will have them if something goes horribly wrong.

    What backup programs are available to backup selected files and folders to a CD that are worth a damn?

    Well, are you looking for NTbackup from the XP CD?

    It wont backup directly to CD, however.

    I have looked all over the place for this native CD burner and have yet to find it. What am I missing?

    Open your CD-RW drive from My Computer
    Copy files to the folder.

    On the left, you will see Write these files to CD.
