XP backup

I discovered that XP will not make a backup directly to a CD or DVD. What will happen if I use a commercial application to make a backup and my complete backup file size or larger than 4.7 gigs--the size of a DVD? Will Sonic( included with Windows) do this automatically?

 

I didn't find that sonic could, unless you bought sonic's simple backup prog.
There are plenty of great software utilities that do, as Major Attitude stated.

 

I can't give a definite answer, but most good backup solutions will backup over multiple cd's/dvd's.
