    I am repairing an old Gateway something or other running XP. When it boots, it attempts to install a new OS but can't, then it gives the option of starting the system with three existing OS's. I presume that I need to edit the Boot.ini file. Here is a copy of it. What do I delete?

    [Boot Loader]
    Timeout=5
    Default=C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT
    [Operating Systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
    C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional Setup"

    Thanks in advance.
