XP Critical Stop Sounds ...No Messages

Hi again:wave ... I'm getting these critical stop sounds, but I don't get any messages telling me what the problem is. I've done research on the problem, but none have had it where they get an occasional stop error with no message.rolleyes I go into the admin tools into the event viewer and I see the errors but I don't know what is causing them or how to stop them ... the last error was on 01/14/10 ... "service control manager" ... another error .. same day ... "DCOM" ... and another from the "service control manager" ... looks like the errors are those two ... anyone have any idea what is going on?:confused ... and how to stop these errors?:cry

 

Here are some of the details of the error messages I see in the event viewer ... these are from the service control manager ...

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the lxcf_device service to connect.

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
Lbd

The lxcf_device service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.


This is the DCOM ...

DCOM got error "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. " attempting to start the service lxcf_device with arguments "" in order to run the server:
{323CE21C-A448-40AA-BA74-7FCF1E44106F}

These error was found in the system part of the event viewer.:confused

 

Doesn't anyone have any information on this?

 

Do you have a Lexmark device, printer/scanner/AIO connected? If you no longer have it, uninstall the software.
