I have a question that is related to this topic. I have a hp pavillion 762n and am trying to do a fresh install. Now I found the folder on my computer that holds all the drivers. Its full of .sys and .dll files. Now would I be able to use these to make a slipstream disc or do I need something different?

OK,that's not the problem, that is why we are here.;)
Some of the driver from the site is allready installed when you install XP.So if your Lan is working, and you can go to Internet,Go to Windows update and download updates that oyu need for your comp.
