XP Error box - tfswctrl.exe - Help please!

    I have XP with IE7 and have just recently been receiving the following error box after booting up:

    tfswctrl.exe - unable to locate component

    and then something like: recommend re-installing software

    IE7 is operating very sporadically and when it does work is very slow. I have Comcast broadband. Has anyone had this message before and if so, what fixes can you recommend? Thanks in advance for any help.
