Hey guys, I'm working on my neighbor's computer that I have posted about before. The corrupted "non-system" files which were all over the HDD are now repaired after running chkdsk c:\r and the computer is running much better since I ran sfc\scannow and repaired the corrupted system files. I ran MS onecare live's virus scanner and it was able to complete now. No viruses were found. I still have a few lingering small issues it seems. The CD/DVD drive disappeared, but I got that back with a registry fix. Now the current problem is that the "view" and "general" tabs are gone from the file options window. Any idea what's causing that? I searched the web, and found some fixes, but I couldn't use them because I couldn't get gpedit.msc to run. That's my second question. I get a error saying "MMC could not create the snap-in." Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark
