XP help

    ok im haveing problems i have a
    Emachines w1800 with windows XP
    verey time i diconect from the enternet it locks up
    every time i restart my home page changes to http://www.indiansnakes.cjb.net/ every time i change it then restart and its back if i try (ctrl/atl - delete ) it flashes but i cant use it same if i run msconfig it flashes and cant use it
    iv run virous scans it come up cleane

    Sounds like you got Spyware/Adware

    Try the following programs. Install each, then run the update for latest definitions. This should remove the program running the changes. Once removed, reset your home page etc, and you should be set.

    Ad Aware 6.0

    SpyBot Search and Destroy



    Between the two of these, they should eliminate 99% of spyware.
