I was a bit surprised to have picked up this virus, as I was running Microsoft Security Essentials and and have Advanced System Care installed, which I try to run at least once a week. I have WinXP 32 bit, SP3. Obviously this scheme didn't work too well.

So, I'm in the process of READ & RUN ME FIRST. I ran the SUPERAntiSpyware, which found and quarrantined several items, and rebooted. I couldn't open any .exe files at all unless I right click and Run as...... Am running Malwarebytes now. We'll see.....

So, in addition to removing this stinker, I guess I'll have to come up with a different protection scheme. I want to minimize anything running in the backround, as I'm gaming quite a bit and want to free up as many resources as possible - but not if this is going to happen again.

I just can't believe how this utterly defeated MSE. If I go to Start>Programs>MSE, the folder is EMPTY! wow.

So we'll see how the removal process goes. MajorGeeks has helped me out before a few years ago, thank goodness for your help and resources!
